Campaign link checker — free beta

How to preflight campaign UTM naming before review

If you lead PPC accounts, a pre-launch link review can catch naming inconsistencies before they become reporting cleanup. Start with permitted utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign values, and which fields are required. UTM values are case-sensitive: Google and google may be reported separately. Google Analytics reference.

Prepare a small CSV

Export UTF-8 comma-delimited CSV with headers destination,utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign. Fictional example:

destination,utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign
https://example.com/sale,google,cpc,spring_sale
https://example.com/offer,GOOGLE,cpc,spring_sale

Decide whether google is intended before reviewing row two. Limit 50 data rows and 262144 UTF-8 bytes. Quoted commas/doubled quotes supported; quoted multiline fields not supported. Invalid headers/malformed quoting block; wrong cell counts are skipped, not approved.

Check rules and inspect the report

  1. Open the checker and enter allowed values and required fields; required fields need nonempty allowed lists.
  2. Paste or choose CSV, run, inspect missing/casing/unapproved/duplicate destination-plus-UTM combinations.
  3. Read row findings and skips, correct CSV, rerun. A skipped row is not passing.
  4. Download dated HTML or row-level CSV. HTML includes rules, summary and remediation. Downloads are initiated; confirm files saved where expected.

Free beta, no sign-in. CSV checking/report generation run in-browser; campaign inputs are not analytics data. Limited aggregate usage events assess the beta without campaign input. Service providers process connection metadata to deliver the site; see the privacy disclosure. This checker does not fetch/validate destinations, check redirects or guarantee working links; test destination/redirect behavior separately.

Could a spreadsheet do this?

Yes: allowed lists, formulas, CSV export and extended reporting. This checker assembles timestamp/rules/summary/row details into one HTML artifact. A local formula-sheet ordinary CSV lacked these combined elements; this does not show spreadsheets cannot do it. ValidateURL advertises bulk checks and redirect tracing (not independently tested); this beta does not trace redirects. Try the free checker; a report is not proof every link works.
